This is part of my art history project. I almost scrapped this version, and was halfway ready to do a second version because of out-of-proportionality. I finished the linework around easter last month, and didn't finish until ten minutes ago. I had to do a piece of art in the style of one of the art movements we're covering this semester(as well as a ten page paper), but I'm afraid it's not very mucha like D: It looks nothing like the original lineart since I ended up changing so much of it. Actually, the reason why I chose Mucha is because he wasn't mentioned AT ALL in the art nouveau section which made me really sad seeing how popular and influential he is today(they mentioned Oscar Kokoshka and not Alphons Mucha? Wry?!) Ah well...off to writing.
ooo I love Mucha! I think you did a really good job capturing his style while still keeping with your own . I took an art history class and we went through art nouveau and they didn't mention him either! I mean, wasn't he the founding father of it? I was so sad!

This is very lovely! I like how she is holding onto her hair. I also like the details in her dress and the background. Please don't scrap it, i personally prefer her proportions.
I definitely need to check out that artist. This picture looks so awesome though, is art history a fun class? I always wanted to take it once I get to choose the class as either an elective (if it's a choice, I need to look at our high school pamphlet again.) or in college. One of the two. I think you did a splendid job though.
When is enough enough... What difference does it make when popular artist vent vent vent and support a site that tolerates deviant behaviour. HA! no wonder its all in a name.
Your Darkest Dreams is a monthly feature devoted to sharing dark photography works from DeviantArt. Often misunderstood as "morbid" or "depressing", Your Darkest Dreams seeks to show this kind of photography in a new way: by showcasing art that is thought provoking, but at the same time unabashedly displays the beauty in darkness.
